Jaime Cooke was born and raised in Calgary in Alberta,Canada,and has been sporting Mukluk boots from the age of three.Growing up in the Rockies meant a lot of snowy winters and the need for warm boots.Mukluks were an obvious option for a family that lived near many native Aboriginal Reserves.
Muks was created in November 2003,when,on a whim,Jaime brought some of her heritage back to London in the form of Mukluks.
Celebrities discover Muks
A Notting Hill boutique picked up the brand and within a month celebrities and fashionistas worldwide were sporting examples from the fabulous Muks Mukluks range.In fact,Kate Moss was one of Muks first customers and since then,Chloe Sevigny,Erin O’Connor,Milla Jovovich,Katherine Heigl,Rachel Weisz and a score of other celebrities have been discovering the effortless comfort and style of Muks.
Evolving style
In 2007 Jaime joined forces with Manhattan-based fashion journalist Erin Hazelton to relaunch the Muks brand - the pair have fused their styles together and will be creating shoes and accessories that every girl – from New York to London – wants to wear.
