---The Devil Wears Prada On the way to dream and happiness, how can we keep our original purpose and

innocence when facing the objection, others’ view and the blind following environment, really make me think heavily.

Through that movie, we know that to be a journalist, Andy gave up her

opportunity to go to Stanford University and the original purpose she went to Runway being Miranda’s assistant was help her open lots of door. And at first she(来自:www.Zw2.cn 爱 作文 网) laughed at her colleague and kept her own style. Her courage and innocence for her dream really make me respect on her.

However, as a series of things happening, she changed gradually. Fashioned

clothes made her acquaint lots of different people, serious attitude to work put her into an important position, meanwhile, busy work made her get distant with her friends and family. What’s worse, she even forgot to write. I still remember that plot: when Miranda’s call coming, she tried her best to get a flight for Miranda, when getting off the taxi, she even forgot her dear father. When being pointed out of her change by her father, her friends, her boyfriend and her colleague, “I have no choice” has become her most powerful excuse. The more she devoted herself to her “beneficial” job, the further she’s away her close and her original dream. Fortunately, she realized her missing and was be herself at last.

The dialogue between Andy and Nate “I turned my back on my friends and

family and everything I believed in, and, that, that for what?” “For shoes and shirts and jackets and belts” which impresses me a lot shows off the losing of Andy when she worked for Miranda and also the losing of most people in modern society.

It’s wonderful to pursue our dream and happiness, however, in the materialistic

age, we may always be lost in money, power and glory. I believe that all the official

hope to serve public at first but as time goes on, some of them forget their dream

and become the one he ever hates deeply. We hope to live a happy life, but what a

happy life means? Harmony family, close friends, healthy body, good income, and

what’s more, doing things you love. The problem is that when trying hard to achieve

those we are likely to be buried in the busy work for great income and power which

seems to be the guarantee, getting away from our love, losing our health, suffering

the pain from the boring and disgusting job. Just like Miranda in this movie,

resplendent and confident in public, but when it comes to her private life, the dragon

lady is so tender and sensitive.

What I talked above is not mean to criticize anyone in that movie or any kind of

people in real life. Everyone has his choice on the way of life, his own style of life and

the pursuit of life. Whatever happens, to be yourself can always make you happy and

enjoy the life, just like Nate and Nigel.

My fair lady

This story happened in a rainy day in London. Eliza Doolittle is a poor girl who lives on selling flowers .She is beautiful and smart; however she has a poor pronunciation. Hey Higgins is a speech professor and he writes down every words of Eliza Doolittle to have some research on her when they first meet. The professor promises that if the girl can be taught by him on how to speak English beautifully she can be pressed off into an upper class within six month. In order to get a better job in the flowershop, Eliza Doolittle goes to the professor for help. The gentle man uses different ways to teach her, although the process is hard, they do achieve a great success. When they come to the Embassy Ball, Eliza Doolittle charms everyone with her beauty. In the end, the Higgins ultimately recognizes Lisa’s quality and falls in love with her.

This film is characterized by songs which impress me most. Various kinds of songs assist us to eich our knowledge of characters. Higgins' early song 'I'm an Ordinary Man' confirms that he is a 'quiet living man' without the need for a woman. From this point of view, we can understand why he was so selfish and intolerant at the beginning of the film. When Eliza finally pronounces impeccably: 'The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain,' both of them are so excited that they sing and dance, and this scene leads to one of the most triumphant sequences in musical history. I am also impressed by Eliza Doolittle’s brave kindhearted and lovely, in order to realize her dream to be an assistant, she does her best. I am also moved by this common ignorant girl, because she can drop off what she owns easily to move back to the populated flower market outside Covent Garden, where no one recognizes her.

This story describes what is common in many societies. Pronunciation and accent can identify our class and social statue. To be a non-English major student, we can’t seize the same opportunity to practice our oral English as the native speaker does. However, from my standpoint, we still have many chances to improve our spoken-English. Eliza Doolittle can achieve such a great success within six month, we can also make a progress by practice reading, listening and speaking. From this moment, I will try my best to overcome the shyness when I speak English and never be ashamed of making mistakes.

My Sister’s Keeper

Last class we watched the movie My Sister’s Keeper. During the first class, I was wondering if I was the mother, what choice I would have made. Obviously, the director doesn’t mean to make any of the character seem to be evil. In the end, everything was arranged by Kate. The ending pleased everyone, and each character had his own reason to make his own choice. Therefore, the movie leaves enough space for every audience to have a unique understanding. Although finally the problem was solved peacefully. Kate died calmly. However, it still makes one ponder such a poignant ethical topic. Of course, the movie has a sound grip of the issue. I myself had reflected something about it.

Intuitively speaking, no one is willing to donate his own blood or kidney to others since born. But if we see from the perspective of the mother, it’s quite easy to understand her behavior. Anna is confronted with the choice between healthy and sick. On the other hand, Kate is up against death. She sacrificed her beauty only to make Kate not feel weird. Of course, she knew that she was taking a great risk. She also recognized that she might lose both of them. What’s more, she realized that it unfair to make Anna Kate’s keeper. However, above all, it’s indeed the only chance to save both her kids. Surely her heart aches when seeing Anna suffering from painful operation. But I believe Kate’s death is a far more severe shock to her.

Suppose I was the kid who needs a new kidney imminently, and my brother refused to donate his kidney saying that he wanted to pursue his own better future. Although knowing this is above reproach and there’s no reason that I should condemn him, I can’t help feeling pathetic and abandoned. I offer my sympathy to the mother, her choice is totally understandable.

The director is trying to convey a thought more profound than a girl and a kidney. There is actually no good answer to the problem. There isn’t a character that should be judged for it’s really hard to say which choice is moral. The mother is considering how to save her beloved daughter. The doctor and the lawyer are just doing the job. They all do what they think is right. From my own perspective, love is beyond law.
