Fossil fuels,such as coal,oil,natural gas are used in many countries.But in some countries,the use of alternative sources of energy,including wind and solar power,are encouraged.Is this trend a positive or a negative development?
As the need of energy has been increasing year by year,new sources of energy are encouraged in some countries except for fossil fuels.In my opinion,it is no doubt a positive development for both human and nature.
Fossil fuels have many shortages as sources of energy.To begin with,we all know these fuels such as coal and oil can not form within millions of years,which means if they were used out someday we will not find again in a long term.At that time,we probably face the situation that no adequate energy can afford the survive of human society.On the other hand,global warming,air pollution and some other environment issues are related closely to the use of fossil fuels.Huge amount of COx,SOx,NOx and other pollutants are produced,whereas,we are unable to solve the problems at present.
In order to find solutions of these issues caused by fossil fuels,development of new sources of energy has been chosen by some countries,such as wind,water and solar power.Compared with the fuels we uesd before,this green energy can never be uesd up.If human are able to make good use of it instead of fossil fuels,we will not worry about energy shortage any more.In addition,this kind of energy is clean and nature harmony,which won't do harm to environment.At last,studying and application of new energy can also make great progress to technology and science.People have to work out a lot of puzzles before they can compelely utilize a new kind of resource,as a result,people learn a lot at meanwhile.
In conclusion,I think it is a reasonable and wise choice to develop alternative sources of energy,and I also believe the day we solve the problem of energy shorting is on the way.
