Screening can be defined as the use of highly selective procedures to allow the detection and isolation of only those microorganisms or metabolites of inthrest from a large population .The further advancementof an isolatewill involve improvement and preservation of the culture .However,a major hindrance to the full exploitation of this capacity is the availability of suitable screening procedures which can identify the necessary product especially in the presence of culrure medium constituents.
