Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,
With the end of United Nations Climate Change Conference,“low-carbon” becomes the most popular word in the international society.It includes five parts:low-carbon economy,low-carbon footprint,low-carbon technology,low-carbon development and low-carbon lifestyle.Nowadays China also devotes to the low-carbon economy.
As we know,China,as the vast nation,is typically portrayed as a dire threat to the planet,with a booming population and a commitment to that dirtiest of fuels—coal.And the rapid industrialization and booming car ownership has cast a pall of smog over many cities.
Why does this happen?What should we do now?Luckily,the Chinese leadership insists on the theory of low-carbon economy to keep the balance of economical development and environmental protection.China can do this by evolving its economic development model,adjusting its economic structure,enhancing its technological innovation capacity and strengthening the sustainability of its economy.In a word,China must pay more attention to the environment and world-leading technologies.
Low-carbon economy is the new model of developing for countries.Currently,the move towards a low-carbon economy,not least in China,is triggering a positive race between countries.But I believe,that one day,China will witness a big leap forward under the low-carbon economy.
