New Yorker Pita Sandwich
（纽约皮萨三明治的食谱）
Chicken strips,onion,and green pepper sauteed until vegetables are soft.Seasoned and flavored with beans,horseradish sauce and pepper.Mixture is spooned into pita pockets with lettuce and tomato.
Ingredients:（成分）
3/4 pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts,cut into 1/4-inch strips
1/2 cup chopped Onion
1/2 cup Green Pepper Strips
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 (16 ounces) can Vegetarian Beans in Tomato Sauce
2 tablespoons Horseradish Sauce
1/4 teaspoon Salt
dash Black Pepper
4 Pocket Pita Breads (5-inch diameter)
8 slices Tomato
Leaf Lettuce
Preparation:（准备）
1.Add vegetable oil to large skillet and heat over medium heat.
2.Sauté chicken strips,chopped onion and green pepper until vegetables are tender and chicken is cooked through.
3.Stir in vegetarian beans,horseradish sauce,salt and pepper.
4.Simmer 5 minutes.
5.Cut pocket pita breads in half and place 1 tomato slice and 1 lettuce leaf into each half.
6.Fill each pocket with bean mixture.
